I wanted to write a quick post sharing some of the updates we've done so you can be sure to check out all the goodies Gut, Heart, Soul provides!

As someone living with invisible illness, I have my ups and downs. One thing that helps my down times is finding social media accounts that share information about their own experiences with invisible illness and educational materials to encourage others to speak up and try to get a diagnosis for themselves. With that in mind, a page with Social Media Accounts to Follow was created. You can find this on the Invisible Illness page and scroll down to find The Ehlers-Danlos Society zebra image. Click on that link to see several awesome recommendations! I have also started adding a monthly update to the Recipes section. As the end of April and beginning of May bring the fresh strawberry crops to the southeastern US states, this month's addition is an amazing Strawberry Lemon Curd Trifle. All recipes are linked to the original link I found them from to appropriately give the credit to the source.

A beautiful park day with my kids gave me this lovely image to share. So glad the weather is warming up, even though the pollen in the southeastern US is really rough!

Things have been busy here. My mother's brain tumor returned for a fourth time, and we've been focusing on getting her the care she needs. Thankfully, she was again a candidate for the Gamma Knife procedure, which happened earlier this week and went off without a hitch. I have also had a month plus long upper respiratory infection. Why does everything have to take longer to heal when we already have so many other health battles?

Thank you all for your continued support in this journey. I am working to carve more time in my calendar to work on material for the site, new blogs, and to schedule guest columnists to share their stories of their own invisible illnesses to help educate others and make our challenges more accepted.
